Paying heed to feedback from audience and critics that ‘24‘ was bit lengthy, makers of the Suriya starrer movie have come forward to delete some scenes in the second half.
“From Sunday, the film’s length has been cut by 10 minutes. It is now more crisp and racy,” sources said. The movie, which hit the screens on Friday, took a good opening and the first day collections, if trade sources are to be believed, is Rs 5.5 crore in Tamil Nadu alone.
A sci-fi thriller written and directed by Vikram Kumar, ’24’ is based on the concept of time-travel. It stars Suriya in triple roles, with actresses Samantha and Nithya Menen playing the female leads.
Produced by 2D Entertainment and released by Studio Green, the film has cinematography by S Tirru. The soundtrack and background score are composed by the Oscar winning A R Rahman, with lyrics by Vairamuthu and Madhan Karky.
