The first release has been rightly placed and you definitely couldn’t have expected a better time for the release of this film. The film, through failing to keep the audience at the edge of their seats, it serves a good message to the government. The first half of the film is lazy and the various characters are explained in detail in it. The second half picks up the pace but due to the excessive speed some points that the director wished to convey may be missed by most of the audience.
Bobby Simha has continued his excellent screen presence and this movie has proved the action hero in him. His screen share with Prakash Raj is definitely one of the best highlights of the film as Bobby’s excellent screen presence along with Prakash Raj’ s dialogues on the country brought in the audience to their feet. Nikki Galrani, plays a journalist and she has justified her job perfectly. Actor Ilavarasu, who plays the Home Minister has also perfected his role.
With the acting side being a strong plus for the film, it is the technicalities has has brought down the film. The very slow storyline in the first half of the movie is the major drawback and Editor Kevin could have definitely shortened the first half a little. Leon James has once again proved his worth and his background score for the scenes make them more appealing. The cinematography by Philip R. Sundar with monotonous colours and art direction could have definitely been better as they bring down the movie in several scenes.
The movie is definitely not a new story but can be claimed as old wine in a new bottle as the director has penned it down really well. Also with its relevance to today’s political system this serves as a must watch in this political season.
Verdict: Formidable cast along with good storyline and election fever makes it a must watch.
