This year, there seems to be more participation from South Indian cinema at Cannes. Close on the heels of ‘Baahubali’ makers revealing that they would attend a discussion at the prestigious film festival, Amy Jackson too has said she would be at Cannes.
The ‘I’ and ‘Madrasapattinam’ actress has said she has been invited by the British Film Institute for a luncheon, where she will be talking about her Bollywood journey. Also, she will attend a charity event where funds are being raised for Syrian refugees.
Meanwhile, Amy is busy with the much awaited ‘2.0’ starring Rajinikanth and directed by Shankar. Talking about the project, she said, “It is a very interesting role and I am thankful to Shankar sir for giving me the opportunity.”
On sharing the screen space with the Superstar, she said, “I was very nervous initially. But he made me feel at ease. He is such a nice gentleman and he ensures that things are cool on the sets. And he is a thorough professional.”
