Poonam Bajwa denies entering wedlock

Shocked by reports in few sections of the media, which claimed that she has entered wedlock, Poonam Bajwa has issued a denial.

The actress said in a statement: “I would like to clarify that the rumours doing the rounds of my marriage are just that-rumours.”

“My younger sister has got married very recently and there seems to be some confusion because of that. When it actually does happen the whole world will know,” she added.

The ‘Thenavattu’ and ‘Kacheri Aarambam’ actress, who was last seen in ‘Aranmanai 2’, is currently part of ‘Muthuna Kathirikai’ with Sundar C.

A Punjabi by birth, she was crowned Miss Pune in 2005 and after which she started modeling part-time while studying. When she went to Hyderabad for a ramp show, a director spotted her and asked her if she was interested in films. She had finished her 12th then and had a five-month gap before college and hence agreed to star in his film. She later started doing Tamil movies.

On May 1, as Ajith celebrated his birthday, wishes poured in from various quarters. But the unexpected was the one from Shobha Chandrasekar, mother of actor Vijay.

Though Ajith and Vijay are competitors in the profession, they have always shared a good personal rapport and it has become evident with this latest incident.

“I convey my best wishes to Ajith. As a mother, I feel pained to learn that he had injured himself during shooting”, Shobha was quoted as saying.

A singer and producer, she added: “I invite Ajith and his family home, and wish that I cook biriyani for him.”

Meanwhile, an official announcement on Ajith’s next film, to be helmed by ‘Siruthai’ Siva, is expected to be made anytime.

Simbu‘s next film, which is to be directed by Adhik Ravichandran of ‘Trisha Illana Nayanthara’ fame, has been titled ‘Anbanavan Asarathavan Adangathavan‘.

The title was released on May 1, as it is the International Workers Day and also the birthday of Ajith. Remember Simbu is a die-hard fan of the ‘thala’.

Tipped to be a romantic entertainer with commercial elements, the shooting for ‘AAA’ is expected to commence soon. Meanwhile on Sunday, television channels were full of ‘Idhu Namma Aalu’ promos, announcing that the film would hit the screens ‘very soon’.

Starring Simbu and Nayanthara in the lead roles, the film directed by Pandiraj was lying in the cans for a long time now. Finally, thanks to efforts made by Simbu’s father T Rajendhar, it is slated to see the light of the day soon.

‘Kabali’ teaser sets new records

As expected, the teaser of Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali‘, which was released on Sunday, has broken all previous YouTube records made from these parts.

From 50,000 views in five minutes to five million hits on Monday morning, the count is increasing in a never before way, showing the power of Rajini and the love his fans have on him. In the teaser that runs for 1.06 minutes, the ‘thalaivar’, with a smart beard and in a sharp three-piece suit, emerges with the theme music ‘neruppu da….’ playing in the background.

He also mouths the punch dialogue: “I’m not that typical Kabali, playing villain Nambiar’s sidekick. This is the Kabali. Kabali da.” At the end, he says ‘Magizhchi..’ and appears in the vintage 80s look.

Meanwhile, Rajini watched the teaser on the sets of ‘2.0’ in the presence of director Shankar and his assistants. He was told about the response generated by the teaser and he felt immensely happy.
