Kajal breaks silence on kissing row

With her kissing scene with Randeep Hooda in her Hindi flick ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ creating flutter, Kajal Aggarwal has broken the silence on the issue for the first time.

“It has been unnecessarily sensationalised. I play a visually challenged girl in the movie and the scene was about she expressing her feelings for her man. I don’t understand why people are making it a big issue,” she said.

The ‘Thupakki’ actress said that though she was initially hesitant to do that scene, she did it later after she understood its relevance.

Recently, the film’s director Deepak said in a statement, “I do remember Kajal had told me that she does not do kissing scenes on screen, as she is a huge south Indian movie star, and this would impact her career in south movies. But let me tell you there was no intention to malign her or kiss her out of force; it was the emotional moment between two lovers as per the script, and I generally prefer actors doing scenes impromptu, so Randeep followed the emotional quotient of the scene, and made a go at it.”

He added: “Sure it did send Kajal in a state of some shock, and she did back off calling for a cut, but, later on, once I had explained to her the significance of the lip lock, she surrendered herself to the script, and went on to do the scene with all the passion she could put in.”

Gautham Karthik thrashes health rumours

Gautham Karthik has dubbed as rumours, reports which claimed that he was unwell and underwent a surgery too recently. “This is absolute joke. I am fully fit and fine,” says the ‘Kadal’ hero.

Saying he cycles every morning for around 20 kms, Gautham says he is completely fine. Then why this delay in the release of his films? “As an actor, my duty ends with acting in movies. Producers have to take a call on release dates,” he says.

The elder son of veteran actor Karthik also wishes to clear the air on reports that he was seeing a popular actress. “I am not in any relationship. I am totally single,” he claims.

The ‘Yennamo Edho’ and ‘Vai Raja Vai’ actor is currently part of movies such as ‘Indrajith’, ‘Rangoon’, ‘Muthuramalingam’ and ‘Sippai’. All these films are in various stages of making.

‘Madha Gaja Raja’ gets fresh release date

This seems to be the season of long pending films to come out of cans. Close on the heels of Simbu‘s ‘Idhu Namma Aalu’ (which is slated to hit the screens on May 27), Vishal-starrer ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ too has received a release date.

The combo of Vignesh Sivan and Anirudh, known for delivering chartbusters, has come together again. The former, who is the director of ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’, has penned lyrics for a song in ‘Remo’.

Following delay in the commencement of his Hollywood project, Dhanush has given bulk dates to director Karthik Subbaraj. The two, it is learnt, will come together for a stylish action thriller.

“This is a script which was running in the mind of Karthik Subbaraj for a long time. It is finally set to get shape. Most of the scenes will be shot abroad, especially the areas in and around New York,” sources said.

A leading actress will be roped in as heroine of the movie, shooting for which will commence in September this year. As in the past for Karthik Subbaraj films, Santhosh Narayanan will be the music composer.

While Dhanush is currently occupied with projects such as ‘Thodari’, ‘Ennai Nokki Payum Thotta’ and ‘Vada Chennai’, the ‘Pizza’ and ‘Jigarthanda’ maker is eagerly waiting for the release of his third venture ‘Iraivi’.
