radha ravi photosVeteran actor Radha Ravi was angered at the way he was (not) introduced at the curtain raiser event of Karthik Subbaraj’s ‘Iraivi’ in Chennai recently.

For, the female anchor who was compering the event left the name of Radha Ravi and only mentioned the names of lead actors.

Irked at this, Radha Ravi took the mike and said, “I have been hearing a lot of praise for my roles in recent films, yet this girl introduces only the lead heroes and heroines and says rest of the cast which includes me.”

He added: “This girl doesn’t know Radha Ravi. What can I do when such people are being brought and made to talk. I’m not saying this anger. I have always been saying this to the girls who compere.”

Starring Vijay Sethupathi, Anjali, Bobby Simha, S J Surhay and Kamalini Mukherjee in lead roles, ‘Iraivi’, which is slated to hit the screens next week, has music by Santhosh Narayanan.

After Santhanam expressed his inability to be part of Ajith‘s next flick, director Siruthai Siva has tweaked the script slightly and made way for two comedians– Karunakaran and Sathish.

“Both Karunakaran and Sathish are very happy to be part of the thala movie. Though they are busy with multiple commitments, they are adjusting their dates to accomodate this prestigious project,” sources said.

It seems Santhanam is in no mood to play comedian roles henceforth and has expressed this to director Siruthai Siva, when the latter approached him to be part of his next film with Ajith.

Anushka Shetty and Ritika Singh (of ‘Irudhu Suttru’ fame) are the lead ladies of the movie, tipped to be a stylish action thriller to be predominantly shot in abroad locations.

Sathyajothi Films will bankroll this yet untitled movie, which will have music by Anirudh. It is to be noted that the combination of Ajith, Siva and Anirudh presented the blockbuster ‘Vedalam’ late last year.

“There was no question of taking up the part. I wouldn’t have been part of this film under any circumstance, and it’s got nothing to do with the role being a negative one,” Kamal has been quoted as saying by DNA.

Revealing the reason, the ‘Ulaga Nayagan’ said, “Rajiniji and I have a pact. Whenever we do another film together it’d have to be produced by either me or him. It’s the only way to ensure we do not displease our fans.”

At present, both Rajini and Kamal are in the United States, it is to be noted. While the former is holidaying in the US after working without a break for the past some months, the latter is shooting for ‘Sabash Naidu’.
