Bharath has recently shot for the climax of his upcoming ‘Ennodu Vilayadu’ in Mysore. The story is about horse racing and the betting that is prevalent in the sport.

The movie is being helmed by Arun Krishnaswamy, who had previously assisted Bhoopathy Pandian. According to the director, “Bharath is playing a betting fanatic, while Kathir an innocent youngster. What happens when their lives cross with each other is the crux.”

Radha Ravi has played a key role in the movie, which has background score by Sudharashan, who had scored music for ‘Burma’. “Post-production works are going on and plans are on to release the movie soon,” informs the director.

This apart, he  is busy with ‘Kadugu‘, a film directed by Vijay Milton of ‘Goli Soda’ and ’10 Enrathukulla’ fame. Interestingly, while Rajakumaran is the protagonist, Bharath is the villain of ‘Kadugu’. The story is about a Puli Vesham artiste who brings fame to his community despite attempts to disgrace it.

After testing his hands playing lead roles in unsuccessful ventures such as ‘Thenaliraman’ and ‘Eli’, Vadivelu is back to play comedian in Vishal-starrer ‘Kathi Sandai‘, directed by Suraaj.

In the meantime, he is also set to play the lead role in the sequel to ‘Imsai Arasan Irandam Pulikesi’, to be directed by Chimbudevan and produced jointly by drector Shankar and Lyca.

Says Vadivelu, “I will be on a two-way track from now on. I will play both lead roles and comedian characters. All that I look forward is to enthrall the audience, especially my fans.”

Happy about joining hands with Vishal after a long gap, he said, “our chemistry in ‘Thimiru’ was liked by many. Likewise, I share a good rapport with director Suraaj. We three are determined to bring the roofs down in ‘Kathi Sandai’.”

Even as busy with two big projects- Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ and Kamal Haasan’s ‘Sabaash Naidu’, Lyca Productions is also bankrolling G V Prakash Kumar-starrer ‘Enakku Innoru Per Irukku’.

According to sources, shooting of the movie is over and top officials of Lyca, who watched it recently, were impressed with GVP‘s performance and the movie’s making.

“Distribution rights of the movie have already been sold out. Plans are on to release the audio by the middle of May and the film by June,” sources said.

‘Enakku Innoru Per Irukku’, tipped to be an action-comedy film, is directed by Sam Anton of ‘Darling’ fame. It has Anandhi, who shared the screen space with Prakash in ‘Trisha Illana Nayanthara’, as the heroine.

After shooting some stunt scenes and songs in Kashmir, the team of Vikram starrer ‘Iru Mugan‘ is back in Chennai. Soon, the next schedule of the movie will begin in Bangkok.

“Scenes shot in Kashmir have come out well and the whole team is happy about it. Plans are on to wrap the shoot by the end of June and to release the movie by September, probably for Vinayaka Chathurthi,” sources said.

For the first time in her more than a decade old career, Nayanthara shot in Kashmir for ‘Irumugan’. After getting permission from the authorities concerned, the movie was shot in some sensitive areas in Kashmir.

Nayanthara was excited about visiting Kashmir,” sources said. The team recently shot some crucial scenes in Malaysia. Later, grand sets were erected at studios in Chennai where stunt scenes involving Vikram were shot. Vikram is playing a dual role and Nithya Menen is the other heroine of this movie, directed by Anand Shankar of ‘Arima Nambi’ fame.

Vishnu Vishal-starrer ‘Mundasupatti‘ is all set to be remade in Telugu. Sudheer Babu, whose Hindi film ‘Baaghi’ is holding well at the box office, will be the protagonist of the movie.

“Sudheer Babu watched ‘Mundasupatti’ recently and was thoroughly impressed by it. He will commence shooting for the film by July. Details of remaining members of the cast and crew would be revealed soon,” sources said.

Directed by Ram, ‘Mundasupatti’ is a comedy flick starring Vishnu and Nandita in the lead. Produced by Thirukumaran Entertainments’ C V Kumar in association with Fox Star Studios, it featured music by Sean Roldan, editing by Leo John Paul and camerawork by P V Sankar.

Based on a short film Ram himself shot in 2011 for the TV show, Naalaya Iyakunar, the film is set in the 80s in a fictional village called Mundasupatti, where people believe bad luck will befall them if they are photographed. The story illustrates what happens when two photographers visit the village.

Trisha, who celebrated her birthday recently, has signed on the dotted line for a new flick. To be directed by Madesh of ‘Madurey’ fame, it is going to be a horror movie set in the backdrop of London.

“Shooting for the yet-to-be-titled film will start by the end of May and more than 50 per cent of the shoot will be held in the UK. She has bagged an interesting role,” sources said.

Interestingly, Trisha is already part of a bilingual horror venture titled ‘Nayagi‘. On her birthday on Wednesday, the actress, who was shooting near Madurai, took a break from work and returned to Chennai, to be with her family and friends on her special day.

After attending a party organised by her pals, she spent the day with her family members, sources said, adding that she would go back to work in a day or two.

Trisha is currently busy with projects such as ‘Nayaki’, ‘RUM’, ‘Kodi’ (with Dhanush) and ‘Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal’ (with Vijay Sethupathi).
